I've been adding optional timestamps to the waterfall. Here you see very high resolution as well.

The data decoder from the well-known Digital Master 780 program is now part of the SDR-RADIO.com console. More information is available here.

Preview of 1.1 Available

A preview of version 1.1 is available here: http://www.sdr-radio.com/Downloads/BetaKits.aspx

This is a 'warts and all' kit so that users can see that some progress is being made. There is also a lot of work taking place behind the scenes to support the new netSDR and SDR-X2. There should be a major announcement from RFspace before the end of August which will blow your socks off!

Polyphase Resampling

As part of the DSP design deep in the bowels of the console it's necessary to change the sample rate of the data being processed.

The general description of the polyphase resampling algorithm can be found, for example, in "Multirate Digital Signal Processing" by R. Crochiere and L.Rabiner, Prentice Hall, 1983.

By changing the code I use from an open source implementation to the implementation provided by Intel in the IPP library I've cleaned up the audio a great deal as shown in this screenshot - look at the AF Spectrum in the bottom left.

I saw the nice new TS-590S today at the Ham Radio show in Friedrichshafen (Germany). Looks very nice, I am sure it will sell by the shed load. Otherwise the show was a very big disappointment.

HF Radio Integration

I'm now starting the HF radio integration, with luck it'll be available for testing within two weeks.

Kenwood, Elecraft, Yaesu (new) radios

Use SDR connected to IF out or kept in sync with the HF radio

Simple to use

Complex to code

Let's see what happens :)
