Version 1

Version 1 was a starter project, developed mainly to learn about SDR software in general and understand the underlying DSP theory.

The radios from RFSpace and some FUNcube dongles were supported along with a basic client/server design.

This software is no longer supported.

Version 2

The current stable release is version 2. Development effort is now concentrated on version 3.

There are three main components:

  1. Console, where you see and hear the signals,
  2. Server, runs on a remote computer and 'servers' the remote SDR radios to the console,
  3. Analyser where you create sonograms from long data recordings.

Server

The server manager is used to configure the software (a Windows service) on a remote computer, it is not required when using hardware connected to your own computer.

  • Up to ten simultaneous connections (one connection per radio),
  • Individual user accounts,
  • User-configurable TCP/IP port,
  • Updates optionally shown on http://v2.sdrspace.com ,
  • Full diagnostics.
