Version 1, 2

Version 1

Version 1 was a starter project, developed mainly to learn about SDR software in general and understand the underlying DSP theory.

The radios from RFSpace and some FUNcube dongles were supported along with a basic client/server design.

This software is no longer supported.

Version 2

The current stable release is version 2. Development effort is now concentrated on version 3.

Key Features

  • 6 receivers (VFOs)
  • SSB, CW, AM, FM, FM-Stereo
  • WASAPI & ASIO audio support
  • Recording and playback of base (IQ) data
  • Digital mode display (PSK, RTTY)
  • User-selectable colour palette
  • Spectrum scale in dBm, dBµV and S-Units
  • Unlimited Favourites
  • Quick memories
  • Supports Windows 7 through to the latest version Windows 10, Windows 10 is recommended.
  • Client / server design - locate your SDR receiver anywhere in the world where's an internet connection, network bandwidth for acceptable reception can be as low as 45 kbps.
  • Low CPU usage, acheived by use of Intel's IPP library, highly efficient GDI+ programming and years of experience.
  • Licenced - to protect the codebase.
  • Multi-monitor support.

There are three main components:

  1. Console, where you see and hear the signals,
  2. Server, runs on a remote computer and 'servers' the remote SDR radios to the console,
  3. Analyser where you create sonograms from long data recordings.
