FAQ
What do you get if you multiply six by nine?
I Can't Receive The QO-100 Beacon
To receive the QO-100 beacon the current bandwidth of your SDR must be greater than the beacon's symbol rate * bandwidth (as selected in the receive configuration window).
The symbol rate of the beacon is 1,500 ksps (or 1.5 Msps), so if you are using the recommended receive bandwidth of 2.0 then your SDR bandwidth must be greater than (2.0 * 1,500k) 3 MHz.
If you reduce the the bandwidth to 1.5 then you can receive the beacon if your SDR is running at a bandwidth of 1.5 MHz.
Transmission Stutters
If your transmission stutters or has breaks then check the following.
- If sending a fast moving video, reduce the resolution.
- Open the Settings > Transmit > Configuration window. In the General options block reduce the quality. You can also click the Max. speed link to reduse these values.
- Some SDRs do not send well using ethernet, so make sure you have selected a USB connection.
How Do I Monitor CPU Load
From the ribbon bar, select Home, Layout, Developer.
What About DVB-T2
This is a very different standard, used for terrestrial transmission with DAB/DAB+ and HDTV. Currently not planned.
What about Linux, MacOS, Raspberry PI?
This project only supports Windows on x64 hardware. There are absolutely no plans whatsoever to support any other operating system or hardware.
